Hi everyone,
As you know the High Holidays are upon us. We will
need people to bring sweets for the Rosh Hashanah oneg and items for the
Break Fast as well. Please let me or Brenda know what you would like to
bring. You can reach Brenda at 379-9946 or me by email.
On Sunday, September 13 from 12:30 to 2:00 Assi and Devorah Harel, the
Chabad people, will be at the synagogue to give a talk about the High
Holidays, similar to what they did for Pesach earlier this year. We will
have bagels and spreads for lunch, so I hope everyone will come.
After Rosh Hashanah services on Sunday, September 20, Sharon and Andrew
Williams will lead a Tashlich service at the gazebo in Ives Park. All
are welcome.
On Friday, September 25 at noon, there will be a choral concert at St.
Lawrence University, “A Musical Celebration of Rosh Hashanah and Yom
Kippur.” The concert will take place in the Gunnison Chapel. It is free
and all are welcome.
The schedule for High Holiday services is:
Friday, September 18, 7:00pm
Saturday, September 19, 10:00am, 7:00pm
Sunday, September 20, 10:00am
Kol Nidre: Sunday, September 27, 6:45pm
